Indonesia signs Chubu gas deal

Indonesia's energy watchdog, BPMigas, has signed a liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply deal with Japan's Chubu Electric Power amounting to 2 million tonnes by 2015



Cobalt borrows Anadarko rig

The deal gives Cobalt use of Ocean Monarch to drill the North Platte-1 exploration well. Cobalt expects to take control of the rig around 1 May with the option to drill a second well. Under the agreement, Cobalt committed to use the rig for at least 75 days at a dayrate of roughly $440,000



Done deal for Missan

Hong Kong listed CNOOC Ltd and its partner Sinochem International has signed an initial agreement with Iraq to develop the 2.5 billion-barrel Missan oil field complex in southern Iraq, a senior Iraqi oil ministry official said
